Please read through all of the following information carefully.

Ritual

Tattooing is an ancient initiation rite, a sacred blood letting ritual, and a beautifying process of body art. Your intentions and prayers are an important part of the process of collaboration. Thank you for allowing me the honor to be part of your path, please feel encouraged to share your story with me.

I would like to support you in holding an intention in your heart and mind for the tattooing process. Knowing that body modification can be cathartic, when we hold an intention (something as simple and profound as a prayer for alignment in self-love), we can imbue the tattoo with that energy. Tattoos are magical talismans placed upon the body temple.

For your design

If you have not already, please fill out this booking form to begin organizing your project.

Booking

  • You can view available dates and times at my calendar link below.

  • Once I have approved your project, please book your appointment and pay your deposit through the online portal.

I am currently only booking specified dates for each location on my calendar.

Please see my calendar here and choose the type of session you would like to book according to the title. If you are inquiring for a guest spot and there are no dates available for that guest spot listed, please email me, and we will either book you through email, or the dates will become available once announced.

Deposit

  • A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to hold your appointment date and time. This goes towards the price of your tattoo. For multi-session projects, full deposit is used on the FINAL session (of that booking round).

  • Deposits are taken when you schedule your appointment. Please see my calendar and pay using PayPal. You can also pay using Zelle to tattoo@cosmikali.com (if sending deposit through Zelle, I will send you a private link to book). If you need a different deposit payment method, please inquire.

  • I ask for a minimum of one week to change your appointment, except for extenuating circumstances. If you do not give enough advance notice, you risk forfeiting your deposit. Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.

  • You can reschedule if needed, and float your deposit to a different appointment time and date, this can be done once only and 7 days minimum before your appointment. Please reschedule asap if you have a time conflict - if you cancel or no-show, I will keep your deposit because I have lost a day of work and that directly affects my livelihood. Please understand that filling your slot on short notice is very challenging, often not possible.

Payment

  • Half day rate is $1000 - this is for projects that take no longer than 3 hours tattooing time. Meeting is capped at 4.5 hours.

  • Full Day rate is $1500 - meeting time is capped at 8-9 hours, maximum tattooing time is 5 to 6 hours (can be less - day rate does not change). This is the preferred meeting to schedule. If your project requires freehand time, or design changes, or is very detailed and large, please book a full day session.

  • Under some circumstances, I will accept smaller projects priced hourly or by piece.

  • Full payment expected upon completion of the session. I prefer to take the first $1000 in cash or Zelle. You can also pay electronically using PayPal or Square (which accepts credit cards), or using Afterpay. Because of fees incurred using these services, electronic payment will be subject to a 7% additional fee.

  • Tattooing is a luxury service and also a profound self-love offering. Please be financially, physically, and mentally prepared for your choice of body modification.

  • If you have a budget, please feel free to discuss with me so we can find a suitable arrangement if you have a project in mind you’d like to create together. Preference is given to larger projects.

  • There are large body concepts that I would love to create for my portfolio and I am more than willing to provide significantly reduced day rates for full creative freedom. I have various styles and ideas in my wanna-dos, so feel encouraged to inquire about the designs that I am currently itching to do :)

Contraindications and Safety

Certain medications and conditions are contraindicated for tattoo, or could compromise your session or healing in various ways. If you have any of the following, please inform me before booking so we can ensure your safety and best practice.

  • chronic skin disorders, pigmented lesions of the skin

  • (congenital) heart disease

  • immunosuppressive diseases and treatments

  • blood clotting disorders

  • severe anemia

  • Reynaud's syndrome

  • pregnancy/breastfeeding

  • currently on or recently finished antibiotics for any reason

  • recently had surgery (within 2 months)

  • I ask that you refrain from taking blood-thinning medications like ibuprofen, aspirin, warfarin, and some types of anticoagulants, as they can cause excessive bleeding during the tattooing process and effect the healing process.

  • I also ask you to please remain sober and alert during your session, as that is the only way to maintain informed and enthusiastic consent.

Pain Management

Tattooing is a very intense blood letting ritual as ancient as we are. It can be extremely painful, to a level that you may not expect, especially when working on bone (elbows, ankles, sternum, head, spine), thick skin (elbows, knees, hands, feet), or sensitive areas (ribs, inner arm, thigh, knee ditch, throat). If you would like to use numbing cream, I recommend you order at least 2 tubes and apply according to the instructions. The brand I recommend is TKTX. I cannot use lidocaine numbing spray until after the skin has broken and the stencil is finished, and it does not last very long.

Recommendations: be well fed and hydrated, bring gum, music, distractions, stress ball.

Aftercare instructions will be sent by email and you can also find them here.

Consent form can be found here.

Thank you for your support and I looking forward to working together.
